Coming Together for High-Functioning TCU Board Governance

June 7, 2021 to June 8, 2021

The Tribal College (TCU) Governance Leadership Institute (GLI) is a nationally recognized initiative focused on fostering community college student success through effective board governance. It can provide Tribal College trustees and presidents, new and experienced, with the insights, guidance and engagement to promote policies and measures to increase board effectiveness to focus on student success and completion within their campuses and states.

TCU-GLI encourages Tribal College and University trustees to become high-performing boards. Through TCU-GLI, TCU boards will be able to reflect how their leadership can help the college move in the right direction and to discuss some of the obstacles they still face in these efforts and ways to overcome these issues. TCU-GLI provides opportunities for TCU boards to engage with other trustees regarding best practices, data-informed decision making, and effective policies to transform their institutions to better serve their students and communities, particularly in the time of a global pandemic.

This event is limited to AIHEC affiliated tribal colleges and universities.
