Community Colleges Remain Resilient in the Wakes of Hurricanes Florence and Michael
A number of colleges and their surrounding communities thus far have sustained substantial damages in the wake of Hurricanes Florence and Michael. Our nation’s community colleges always weather these storms with admirable resilience, serving as resources for their communities even after enduring great hardships.
As the remnants of Michael, now a tropical storm, add to the woes inflicted by Florence last month in the Carolinas, we at ACCT are keeping our member colleges and their communities in our thoughts.
The Association of Community College Trustees applauds the responses of our member colleges throughout affected areas, and we stand by ready to help in any way we can.
