The following series of documents are a three-part guide designed to help community colleges better understand their alignment and readiness to become third party providers in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program. The following steps are outlined sequentially. It is likely that perhaps you will not follow them in order, or that you may already have made determinations for specific areas of alignment.

SNAP E&T Provider Readiness Roadmap for Higher Education Institutions - Part 1

The first part of our guide can help determine if SNAP E&T is a good fit for your college or college system and where, within your college, your SNAP E&T program should reside. It is designed to provide a framework for the individual process of understanding the optimal SNAP E&T role for your program. It guides you through and internal and external feasibility assessment to identify aignment with with the four key SNAP E&T provider elements as well as find state and local opportunities within SNAP E&T.

The second part of this guide is designed to help potential third-party providers to understand their readiness to become a provider, outline the steps to move forward in the process, and, if onboarded, to expand their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training (E&T) program. It lays out key steps for community colleges and community-based organizations to take in applying to SNAP E&T and, once selected as a SNAP E&T provider, important areas of preparation for getting started.

This guide is the final portion of the three-part series designed to help community colleges better understand their alignment and readiness to become third-party providers in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program. It is designed for higher education institutions that have been operating SNAP E&T for at least one year and are now ready to take steps to assess how to enhance or enlarge their SNAP E&T programs.
